Staycation Compilation: Discovery Primea

Discovery Primea is along Ayala Avenue, Makati City. You may walk going to Glorietta 3 because it is only 2 blocks from the hotel, very accessible location.

I've been dreaming to have a staycation in Discovery Primea. Since it is my birthday, I really want to experience the luxurious hotel.

At first, I was hesitant to book the room since it is quite expensive but with some research, I found out that the hotel has an excellent reviews and every penny is worth it. That really pushed me to book the hotel room. 

I booked the Business Flat with Breakfast thru AGODA; we arrived at exactly 2pm but our room is not yet available, so the receptionist brought us to Gilarmi Lounge to have our welcome drinks! Yey!

The room is very new! In fact you can still smell the paint and the bathtub has dust, but we don't mind.

We also have a welcome pica. 

One of our funny moments here in Discovery Primea was they have a bowl of apples in front of the elevator in our floor ( I don't know if it's just in our floor or every floor), and we thought that those apples are just fake and for display but we were wrong! Those are real! And mind you the apples are new and crunchy!! 

If you want to bring some food and drinks with you, there are no corkage fee! 

The facilities available are the Spa, Gym, Gift Shop, Jacuzzi, Salon, Chapel and a Swimming Pool.

We ordered some drinks while having a dip in the swimming pool.

Oh, by the way! If you request for a service water the bartender will give you a bottled mineral water (for free!!!). 

So, when we woke up the next day we were ready to eat at the Tepanade (also in Discovery Primea, this is where they set the breakfast). Upon arrival at Tepanade they will ask you for your room number and give you a menu to choose what is for your main dish. I chose Pancakes, my boyfriend and my parents ordered the Angus Tapa. Are you disappointed because it is not a buffet? If there is one thing that comes to my mind whenever I hear Discovery Primea, it will their generosity! 

So, yes they have a buffet for your side dish! That includes the following: 

    Fruits,yogurt, and yakult

Beside the fruits and yogurt there are freshly squeezed orange juice and pineapple juice

    Salad bar

    Your type of spread

    Various Cheese 

Breakfast is from 6am-10am. Complimentary breakfast is up to 2 persons only, if you are a group of more than 2, you may still avail the breakfast it costs Php1,000 per person. 

I've already told you about the good things in Discovery Primea, but there are a little things that I don't like such: 

1. It is along Ayala Avenue right? The noise and the horn of the bus can be heard in the Gilarmi lounge, I can understand that part because it is our usual story here as a local but if I am a foreigner, I will be disappointed because Gilarmi lounge looks peaceful and a very relaxing place to drink or to dine. 

2. We ordered drinks by the swimming pool, they took too long to served our drinks. Maybe because the drinks are made at the Gilarmi lounge. 

3. Parking is too far, for guests the parking space will be in Basement 6th. 5th is under construction. 

If I will be given a money and a chance to stay here again, I will definitely go back.
