Staycation Compilation: Bayleaf Hotel Intramuros

This was my first time to have a staycation in a hotel without a pool. But I am still entertained by Bayleaf Hotel even though they didn't have a pool.

Some of the reasons are:

1. It is not too near nor far from home, if there is any emergency back home I can go back easily.

2. It is quite cheap but the room is high standard. I spent Php8,100 for a Superior Room for 2 nights with breakfast for 2. I book thru Asiatravel.com or you may book thru AGODA. Here is a sample of my voucher.

3. The hotel ambiance is very 5 star!

4. The bedroom isn't that big for a Superior type of room but the Bathroom is huge! Even without a bathtub the shower room is very spacious. 

5. Bayleaf is inside Intramuros, historically wise there are a lot of tourist spots. You may explore the wall city by walking, hiring a Kalesa, or Pedicab (Php75/head) . 

6. We really chose this hotel because it is near San Agustin Church and Manila Cathedral, part of our 7 churches during Holyweek.

7. Sky deck ( Roof deck of Bayleaf)

- I heard the food here is good and also the view. Well it did not disappoint us. On our first night we tried ala carte meals. 

We ordered Chicken Asian Salad, Ensaymada pudding and Bayleaf's signature iced tea. Their servings are huge and I recommend it is good for sharing. Photo above is just my share, I asked them to serve our food in half.

The Asian Chicken Salad is the best salad I ever had. I really love how the flavors compliment each others. And the Ensaymada pudding is not too sweet, it melts in your mouth!

The next night they have a buffet table, you may still chose if you want to order ala carte or the buffet. The food served in buffet is same as the food in the menu. We've decided to try the buffet.

The only problem I see in Sky Deck is it is quite dark because some of their lights are not working. But if you are aiming for romantic, this is one of the place to be.
