I've been researching for an attraction or tourist destination in Antipolo except the famous Cloud 9 and Luljetta's Hanging Garden Spa (but I'll admit it, I've never been there before).
Since it is Sunday, we went to Antipolo Church. Antipolo Church is famous for the blessing of a new car but we just want to see the Church itself. AND buy pasalubong! They have all kinds of pasalubong but more famous with Rice Cakes and Cashew Nuts.
My Uncle bought a lot! 3 packs of big glass Plain Cashew Nuts worth Php100/pack and they gave us 2 1/2 small glass for free, 3 bundles of Suman and also they gave us half bundle for free, 1 big Coconut Jam for the suman, and Sapin-Sapin. They gave us 5 rosary bracelets and 2 mini rosaries.
Some vendors are selling the Everlasting flowers, which you can put in your Altar, that can last up to a year. They sell the flowers in different prices and it depends on its length. There are Php35 each, Php45 each or 3 for Php100 and Php55.
Next? Pinto Museum!!
Entrance fee is Php180 per person, I think they have a discount for Senior Citizen and Student so don't forget to bring your I.D.s
Do not belittle Pinto Museum, it looks small on the outside but mind you it is huge inside! We ended up sweating, tired and happy. Why sweating? Because the museum is mostly outdoor and they did not put any AC but I think it is good though. So you will feel the ambiance.
In case you are hungry or thirsty they have restaurants inside the musuem. Different places and names but I think same food.
Maybe it is called Cafe Tan-Aw because the cafe has an overlooking view of the Museum and the Metro.
Here are more photos in Pinto Museum:
I wanted to take them to Cloud 9 for a 360 degrees look around the metro. But the weather did not permit. So they wanted to go back to the hotel and they also have a schedule to meet an old friend.
All in all Antipolo is one of the quickest getaway from Metro Manila.
